Angeles has finally registered their first victory this season after two consecutive loses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Ciudad Victoria, where they defeated Correcaminos (1-4) 93-88. Correcaminos were ahead by 5 points after three quarters before a 31-21 charge of Angeles, which allowed them to win the game. They made 23-of-28 charity shots (82.1 percent) during the game. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Marcus Elliott (191-84, college: Louisiana Tech) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman O'Louis McCullough (198-82, college: Francis Marion) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Rodney Alexander (201-87, college: Oklahoma City) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Anthony Laveal Johnson (203-88, college: Fairfield) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Correcaminos. Four Angeles and five Correcaminos players scored in double figures. Angeles (1-2) left bottom position moving up to eleventh place. It was Correcaminos' third loss in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with four games lost. Angeles' next round opponent will be higher ranked Huracanes (#6) in Tampico and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Correcaminos will play at home against Gansos (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
