Regular Season Round 3: Groningen - Den Helder 79-70
Date: October 17, 2013
The most surprising game was a loss of Den Helder (2-1) on the court of Groningen on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by Groningen 79-70. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Den Helder won third quarter 25-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Groningen forced 20 Den Helder turnovers and had a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for the former international center Thomas Koenis (210-89, agency: Court Side) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. International guard Arvin Slagter (191-85, agency: Court Side) helped adding 15 points. The best for the losing side was Puerto Rican-American point guard Emanuel Ubilla (188-86, college: Fair Dickinson, agency: Court Side) with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American power forward Reggie Keely (206-91, college: Ohio, agency: Court Side) scored 22 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field).
