The game had a very big importance for second-ranked BC Rakvere as it allowed them to take a leadership position. BC Rakvere smashed 4th placed Tln Kalev at home 81-59. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tln Kalev. The game was mostly controlled by BC Rakvere. Tln Kalev managed to win second period 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Rakvere forced 20 Tln Kalev turnovers. The best player for the winners was American power forward Gregory Jenkins (206-82, college: Iona) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BC Rakvere have a solid series of four victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Tln Kalev at the other side keeps the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with TTU. Tln Kalev will play next round against Valga trying to get back on the winning streak. BC Rakvere will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked KK Parnu at home.
