Regular Season Round 4: SIDEn Torun - Spojnia 79-62

Bottom-ranked Spojnia is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their fourth consecutive match to top-ranked SIDEn Torun (4-0) 79-62 on Saturday evening. The game without a history. SIDEn Torun led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Spojnia's 22. They outrebounded Spojnia 43-23 including a 29-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. SIDEn Torun looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by center Adam Lisewski (205-80) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and swingman Jacek Jarecki (195-88) supported him with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Five SIDEn Torun players scored in double figures. Even 17 points and 8 rebounds by power forward Lukasz Bodych (201-90, agency: Promotex) did not help to save the game for Spojnia. point guard Michal Kwiatkowski (189-92, agency: Promotex) added 6 points and 11 assists for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. SIDEn Torun have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with MOSiR Krosno. Loser Spojnia still closes the standings with four games lost. SIDEn Torun will meet Wilki Morskie (#5) in the next round. Spojnia will play against Start Lublin (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
