There was a surprise result when Valencia Basket (1-1) rolled over at home Gipuzkoa (1-1) 87-58 on Saturday. The game without a history. Valencia Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Valencia Basket outrebounded Gipuzkoa 40-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. Montenegrin Bojan Dubljevic (205-91, agency: Beo Basket) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points. Belgian point guard Sam Van Rossom (188-86) contributed with 10 points and 5 assists for the winners. Brazilian point guard Raul Neto (186-92) replied with 10 points and 8 assists and American forward Jason Robinson (195-80, college: Pikeville) added 16 points in the effort for Gipuzkoa. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Valencia Basket will face Unicaja Malaga (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
