Bottom-ranked Shimane Magic (0-5) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fifth consecutive match to leader Kyoto Hannar. (3-0) 68-50. Shimane Magic was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Center Joe Werner (201-84, college: Wisc.-La Crosse) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points and 7 rebounds. Center Chris Holm (212-84, college: Vermont) contributed with 7 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four Kyoto Hannar. players scored in double figures. Power forward LaShawn Malloy (209-84, college: New Orleans) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds and forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Shimane Magic. The victory was the third consecutive win for Kyoto Hannar.. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Osaka Evessa and Toyama Grouses. Shimane Magic lost their fifth game in a row. They still closes the standings with five games lost. Kyoto Hannar. will have a break next round. Shimane Magic will play again at home against the league's second-placed Kyoto Hannar.
