The game was mostly controlled by Pinheiros. Palmeiras managed to win second period 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized American Shamell Stallworth (195-80, college: USF, agency: Interperformances) who led the winners and scored 26 points and 4 assists. Naturalized Italian point guard Paulinho Boracini (183-84) accounted for 23 points for the winning side.
