Regular Season Round 1: Maccabi Tbilisi - MIA Academy 83-87

Another exciting game for MIA (1-0) which played on the court of Maccabi Tbilisi (0-1). MIA won 87-83. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 18-10. But Maccabi Tbilisi won second period 26-24. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. MIA players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. International guard Beqa Chikviladze (195-91) stepped up and scored 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and international Merab Bokolishvili (198-92) chipped in 20 points and 6 assists. MIA's coach Dragan Petricevic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side center Giorgi Periashvili (210-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds and center Levan Revazashvili (207-92) scored 22 points and 9 rebounds. Five MIA and four Maccabi Tbilisi players scored in double figures. MIA's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi .
