Regular Season Round 4: AZS PP - Stal Ostrow 60-64

Everything could happen in Poznan at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Stal Ostrow and 12th ranked AZS PP had identical 1-2 record. But AZS PP was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Ostrow Wlkp. 64-60. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Guard Marcin Dymala (188-90) fired 19 points for the winners. Adam Kaczmarzyk (198-88) chipped in 16 points. Center Adam Metelski (206-83, college: Cal-Irvine) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Pawel Hybiak (173-89) added 14 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. AZS PP's coach Waldemar Mendel rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Stal Ostrow (2-2) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams. AZS PP at the other side dropped to the tenth position with three games lost. Stal Ostrow's next round opponent will be Sokol Lancut (#10) at home where they are favorite. AZS PP will play against Znicz Basket in Pruszkow and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
