Regular Season Round 3: Wisla Krakow - UMKS Kielce 60-72

Not a big story in a game when Wisla Krakow (1-2) lost at home to UMKS Kielce (3-0) 72-60 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by UMKS Kielce. Wisla Krakow was better in fourth quarter 16-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. UMKS Kielce forced 25 Wisla Krakow turnovers. It was a good game for naturalized German power forward Alexander Machowski (205-91) who led his team to a victory with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Lukasz Fafara (193-84) contributed with 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Center Pawel Murza (202-90) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 20 rebounds and forward Mateusz Piotrowski (196-88) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Wisla Krakow. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. UMKS Kielce will face AZS AGH Alstom in Krakow in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Wisla Krakow will play on the road against Pulaski Warka (#12).
