Regular Season Round 3: Meteors - Brunell 56-59

Important game to mention about took place in Dublin. Brunell (3-0) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging Meteors (0-3) 59-56 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Brunell forced 21 Meteors turnovers. It was a good game for Spanish center Celia Menendez (188-90) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Danielle O'Leary contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Jade Daly (-91) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Kate McDaid (180-92) added 12 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Meteors. Brunell will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Meteors will play on the road against WIT Wildcats (#3) in Waterford and hope to get finally their first victory.
