Regular Season Round 3: Adelaide - Logan T. 79-64

Adelaide Lightning used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Loganholme 79-64 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Adelaide Lightning. Logan Thunder was better in second period 17-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for international center Laura Hodges (191-83) who led her team to a victory with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Power forward Nadeen Payne (188-93) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Adelaide Lightning players scored in double figures. Forward Tegan Cunningham (185-88, college: Oklahoma St.) answered with 9 points and 12 rebounds and forward Emma Langford (188-89, college: Wyoming) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Logan Thunder. Adelaide Lightning will face Sydney Uni Flames (#8) on the road in the next round. Logan Thunder will play against Townsville Fire.
