Regular Season Round 2: CAI Zaragoza - Iberostar Tener. 60-66

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of CAI Zaragoza (1-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by CB Canarias (2-0) 66-60. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But CAI Zaragoza won fourth quarter 23-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. CB Canarias forced 22 CAI Zaragoza turnovers. Point guard Ricardo Uriz (19-80) orchestrated the victory by scoring 8 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Montenegrin center Blagota Sekulic (209-82, agency: FCM) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Croatian forward Damjan Rudez (203-86, agency: FCM) replied with 19 points and 4 assists and American guard Michael Roll (197-87, college: UCLA) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for CAI Zaragoza. CAI Zaragoza's coach Jose Luis Abos rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. CB Canarias is looking forward to face Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (#11) in Madrid in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CAI Zaragoza will play on the road against Blusens Monbus (#15) in Santoago de Comp and is hoping to win this game.
