Undefeated Alvik Basket (3-1) recorded its first loss on the court of fifth ranked Umea. Visitors were rolled over by Umea 105-82. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Alvik Basket. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Umea made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Alvik Basket 38-23 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Umea players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists. Palestinian guard Omar Krayem (185-86, college: Cal.Baptist) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 11 assists and 4 steals. Guard Albin Frank (188-90) contributed with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Krayem is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Anton Julin (191-91) replied with 23 points and 6 rebounds and forward Richard Hartmann (203-89) added 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Alvik Basket. Four Umea and five Alvik Basket players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Umea moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Alvik Basket. Umea will play against league's leader White Eagles in Stockholm in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Alvik Basket will play at home against Taby Basket and hopes to get back on the winning track.
