Regular Season Round 4: Huima - TuRi 93-76

The most important game in the last round took place in Aanekoski between third ranked TuRi (2-2) and fourth ranked Aanekosken (2-1) on Sunday night. TuRi was defeated by Aanekosken on the road 93-76. The game was mostly controlled by Aanekosken. TuRi managed to win second period 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aanekosken forced 23 TuRi turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Kenya Robinson (182-70, college: New Orleans) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals and forward Sanna Jamsen (183-79) who added 19 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Aanekosken players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Danisha Corbett (179-89, college: N.Mexico St.) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and international center Sofia Pelander (188-92) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. TuRi's coach Jukka Valpola rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Aanekosken moved-up to third place, which they share with PeKa. TuRi at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with HoNsU. Aanekosken is looking forward to face Kerava Energia Team (#7) at home in the next round. TuRi will have a break next round.
