Regular Season Round 2: Svisloch - Rubon 91-63

There was no surprise in Osipovichi where Rubon (0-2) was crushed by Svisloch (2-0) 91-63 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Svisloch. Rubon managed to win third quarter 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 25-of-26 free shots (96.2 percent) during the game, while Rubon only scored eight points from the stripe. Svisloch forced 19 Rubon turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Swingman Evgeni Ivanov (202-84) scored 38 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and Slovenian point guard Marcel Mihalic (185-90) chipped in 19 points and 11 assists during the contest. Four Svisloch players scored in double figures. Forward Viktor Ovsepian (204-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and Yahor Patupchyk (191-94) scored 13 points. Svisloch will meet Sozh Gomel on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rubon will play against Borisfen (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
