Levice's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after five consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Nova Ves (0-5) 104-86 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Levice led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 21 Nova Ves turnovers. American guard Brandon Lockhart (185-90, college: Drury) notched 24 points, 9 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and Nigerian-American point guard KC Anuna (193-89, college: Pfeiffer) supported him with 26 points and 8 rebounds. Even a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds by Peter Macejko did not help to save the game for Nova Ves. The former international forward Stanislav Baldovsky (192-89) added 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Levice (1-5) left bottom position moving up to eighth place. It was Nova Ves' third loss in a row. They still closes the standings with five games lost. Levice will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nova Ves will play against SKP Banska Bystrica (#7) and hope to get finally their first victory.
