Extraliga round 6 caused change at the leadership position. First defeat of league's leader Nitra (4-1) against third ranked Inter Bratislava (5-1) 80-78 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Nitra. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Nitra won third quarter 25-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Inter Bratislava looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Nitra at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They share the position with Iskra Svit. They were replaced at the leadership position by Inter Bratislava. Nitra will play next round against Rieker KN trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Inter Bratislava will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Handlova on the road.
