Regular Season Round 3: Snaefell - KR 84-99

Date: October 24, 2013
The game in Stykkisholmur was also worth to mention about. KR (3-0) played at the court of Snaefell (1-2). KR defeated Snaefell 99-84. The game was mostly controlled by KR. Snaefell was better in fourth quarter 32-30. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 23-of-30 charity shots (76.7 percent) during the game. KR players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Pavel Ermolinskij (202-87) who led the winners with a triple-double by scoring 20 points, 22 rebounds and 13 assists. The former international Helgi Magnusson (197-82, college: Catawba) accounted for 25 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Four KR players scored in double figures. American point guard Vance Cooksey (183-87, college: Pikeville) came up with 18 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and guard Kristjan Andresson (188-91) added 20 points respectively for Snaefell in the defeat. Snaefell's coach Ingi Thor Steinthorsson rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KR will play against Stjarnan (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Snaefell will play against Haukar in Hafnarfjordur and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
