An interesting game for Kutaisi (2-0) which hosted in Kutaisi Energy Invest (0-2). Kutaisi had an easy win 100-67. The game was mostly controlled by Kutaisi. Energy Invest was better in fourth quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Energy Invest to just 5 points in first quarter. Kutaisi shot 60.3 percent from the field. They also forced 19 Energy Invest turnovers and outrebounded them 44-21 including a 36-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kutaisi's next round opponent will be Maccabi Tbilisi (#7) at home where they are favorite. Energy Invest will play against Sokhumi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
