There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Poitiers (4-4) was defeated at home by tenth ranked Aix-Maurienne (4-4) 63-54 on Friday. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 20-4 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Aix-Maurienne dominated on the defensive end, holding Poitiers to just 4 points in fourth quarter. The best player for the winners was American Dar Tucker (193-88, college: De Paul) who scored 21 points. Naturalized Congolese power forward Boris Meno (203-83, college: Davidson, agency: Two Points) chipped in 6 points and 15 rebounds. American-British power forward Laurence Ekperigin (201-88, college: Le Moyne) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and the former international Karim Souchu (198-79, college: Furman) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Poitiers' coach Rudy Nelhomme rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Aix-Maurienne moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Poitiers.
