Regular Season Round 7: Akita NH - Shinshu BW 113-82

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Akita. Leader Akita Happinets faced 4th placed Shinshu BW. Host Akita Happinets (7-0) smashed guests from Nagano (3-2) 113-82. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Shinshu BW. The game without a history. Akita Happinets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Akita Happinets forced 19 Shinshu BW turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American swingman Richard Roby (198-85) fired 34 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-93) chipped in a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 assists. Four Akita Happinets players scored in double figures. American power forward Xavier Gibson (210-88, college: Florida St.) produced 18 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Patrick Sanders (198-85, college: Cal-Irvine) added 22 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Akita Happinets have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-0 record. Shinshu BW at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Iwate Big Bulls. Akita Happinets are again looking forward to face Shinshu BW (#6) in Nagano in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Shinshu BW will have a break next round.
