No shocking result in a game when top-ranked Entente Orleans 45 (4-0) crushed at home 9th ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (1-3) 81-62 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 13 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 19 points. It was a very good performance for American point guard Darnell Harris (185-86, college: La Salle) who helped to win the game recording 17 points. Forward Abdoulaye Loum (210-91) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized Mali forward Bandja Sy (204-90, college: N.Mexico St.) replied with 16 points and American point guard Michael Thompson (177-89, college: Northwestern) added 10 points in the effort for Pau-Lacq-Orthez. Pau-Lacq-Orthez's coach Claude Bergeaud let to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Entente Orleans 45 have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Cholet. Newly promoted Pau-Lacq-Orthez keeps the ninth position with three games lost. Entente Orleans 45 will face Limoges CSP Elite (#5) on the road in the next round. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will play against Paris-Levallois (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
