Regular Season Round 3: Zabok - GKK Sibenik 100-79

Rather predictable result when KK Zabok (2-1) smashed at home GKK Sibenik (0-3) 100-79 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by KK Zabok. GKK Sibenik managed to win fourth quarter 27-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded GKK Sibenik 35-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. KK Zabok looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Josip Ceranja (193-90) who scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Petar Maric (196-87, college: Lincoln Trail CC, agency: XL Basketball Agency) chipped in 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four KK Zabok players scored in double figures. Coach Dragutin Crnjevic's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Ljubo Samadan (207-83) who recorded 27 points and forward Filip Vukicevic (203-88) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. KK Zabok will meet Kvarner 2010 (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. GKK Sibenik will play against Alkar Sinj (#1) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
