Regular Season Round 3: Valladolid - Sevilla 81-68

Blancos de Rueda used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Sevilla 81-68 on Saturday night. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Blancos de Rueda's pressure prevailed and they won that period 23-13 extending their advantage to 13 points. They made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for Jamaican-American forward Omari Johnson (205-89, college: Oregon St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points. Greek power forward Dimitris Haritopoulos (205-83, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Blancos de Rueda players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American swingman Scott Bamforth (188-89, college: Weber St.) with 26 points and 5 rebounds and Czech point guard Tomas Satoransky (201-91) scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Cajasol's coach Garcia Aito Reneses rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Blancos de Rueda will face Valencia Basket (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cajasol will play against Laboral Kutxa (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
