Regular Season Round 10: Lechugueros - Huracanes 75-83

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Huracanes (5-3) beat 9th ranked Lechugueros (3-6) in Leon 83-75 on Saturday. Lechugueros trailed by 11 points at halftime and as many as 12 after three quarters before a 18-14 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 75-83 at the end of the game. It was a great shooting night for Huracanes especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Quite impressive performance for American swingman Cliff Tucker (198, college: Maryland) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. The other American import forward Ken Horton (199-89, college: Cent.Conn.St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Deilvez Yearby (198-87, college: IPFW) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists and Bahamas power forward Ryan Moss (200-74, college: UALR) added 15 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Lechugueros. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Huracanes maintains sixth position with 5-3 record. Loser Lechugueros keep the ninth place with six games lost. Huracanes will face league's second-placed Toros in Nuevo Laredo in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Lechugueros will play on the road against the league's leader Abejas (#1) in Guanajuato and hope to win that game.
