Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both third ranked Omegna and one of their biggest challengers Matera had identical 2-1 record. This time Omegna used a home court advantage and outscored the opponent from Matera 92-65 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. At the losing side American forward Kyle Austin (203-88, college: Cal-Riverside) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Antonio Iannuzzi (207-91, agency: Two Points) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Omegna have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Matera dropped to the fifth place with two games lost. Omegna will face Treviglio (#12) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Matera will play against P.Mantovana (#9) in Mirandola and hope to win that game.
