Regular Season Round 6: Pontoise - CFBB 94-47

Pontoise can celebrate finally their first win this season after five consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat CFBB (0-6) 94-47 on Saturday. The game without a history. Pontoise led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding CFBB to just 6 points in third quarter. Pontoise dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to CFBB's 28. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by CFBB's players. Swingman Parfait Njiba (199-89) scored 23 points to lead the charge for the winners and Mourad El-Khir (202-88) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Pontoise's coach Ludovic Pouillart felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was guard Luc Loubaki (189-97) with 12 points and power forward Elie Fedensieu (204-96) scored 10 points. Pontoise (1-5) left bottom position moving up to fourteenth place, which they share with Cognac and Montbrison. It was CFBB's sixth loss in a row. They still closes the standings with six games lost. They share the position with Saint-Brieuc. Pontoise will meet higher ranked JA Vichy (#7) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. CFBB will play against Monaco (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
