Regular Season Round 8: Okinawa GK - Fukuoka Rizing 74-64

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Okinawa GK (6-2) beat at home 6th ranked Fukuoka Rizing (3-5) 74-64 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Okinawa GK. Fukuoka Rizing was better in third quarter 23-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 5 assists. Trinidad and Tobago power forward Kibwe Trim (208-84, college: Sacred Heart) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Okinawa GK players scored in double figures. American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and Trinidad and Tobago power forward Julius Ashby (205-82, college: Colorado) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Fukuoka Rizing. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Okinawa GK moved-up to second place. Fukuoka Rizing lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Okinawa GK will face Kyoto Hannar. (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Fukuoka Rizing will play against Bambitious Nara (#10) and hope to win that game.
