Regular Season Round 10: Tochigi Brex - Toshiba BT 88-79

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Toshiba Thunders (8-2) on the court of fourth ranked Tochigi Brex on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Tochigi Brex 88-79. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Toshiba Thunders. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Tochigi Brex made 26-of-30 free shots (86.7 percent) during the game. Tochigi Brex outrebounded Toshiba Thunders 39-28 including 27 on the defensive glass. American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Yuta Tabuse (173-80, college: BYU-Hawaii) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and international swingman Naoto Tsuji (185-89) scored 13 points. Five Tochigi Brex and four Toshiba Thunders players scored in double figures. Toshiba Thunders' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tochigi Brex (5-5) moved-up to third place. Toshiba Thunders at the other side still keep top position with two games lost. Tochigi Brex are looking forward to face league's second-placed Toyota Alvark in Tokyo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Toshiba Thunders will play at home against Hokkaido L. and are hoping to win this game.
