Regular Season Round 8: Akita NH - Shinshu BW 90-83

BJ League top team - Akita Happinets (8-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixth ranked Shinshu BW (3-3) 90-83. Akita Happinets players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Chas McFarland (213-86, college: Wake Forest) who scored 25 points and 9 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Guard Shigehiro Taguchi (184-90) chipped in 32 points. American forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: Florida Atlantic) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists and his fellow American import forward Patrick Sanders (198-85, college: Cal-Irvine) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Akita Happinets have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-0 record. Shinshu BW at the other side keeps the sixth place with three games lost. Akita Happinets' next round opponent will be Saitama Broncos (#8) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Shinshu BW will play against Tokyo Cinq R. and hope to win that game.
