Regular Season Round 3: Trefl Sopot - AZS Koszalin 87-83

The game between closely ranked teams ended with AZS Koszalin's (0-3) road loss to Trefl Sopot (1-1) 83-87 on Sunday. AZS Koszalin trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 28-21 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 83-87 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Lance Jeter (190-88, college: Nebraska) who scored 14 points. The former international forward Marcin Stefanski (200-83) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Raymond Sykes (206-86, college: Clemson, agency: Three Eye Sports) who recorded 20 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard Sek Henry (193-87, college: Nebraska) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Trefl Sopot will meet Anwil in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. AZS Koszalin will play against Stelmet ZG (#6) in Zielona Gora and hopes to get finally their first victory.
