Regular Season Round 3: Netanya - Bnei Hertzeliyya 66-95

Date: October 27, 2013
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of GreenTops Netanya (1-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were rolled over by Bnei Hasharon (2-1) 95-66. The game was mostly controlled by Bnei Hasharon. GreenTops Netanya managed to win fourth quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded GreenTops Netanya 36-25 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Bnei Hasharon especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. It was a great evening for forward Oz Blayzer (199-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 8 rebounds. Nigerian forward Ndudi Ebi (206-84, agency: Higher Vision Sports) helped adding 16 points and 11 rebounds. Five Bnei Hasharon players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American power forward Rashaun Freeman (206-84, college: Massachusetts) with 15 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Yoad Bet-Yosef (182-87, agency: Avi Zilberman) scored 17 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bnei Hasharon will meet at home Maccabi Haifa (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. GreenTops Netanya will play against Hapoel Eilat and hope to win that game.
