Regular Season Round 3: Sutor MGR - Grissin Bon RE 79-71

There was a minor upset when Trenkwalder RE (1-2) was defeated on the road by Sutor Montegranaro (1-2) 79-71. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Trenkwalder RE won third quarter 19-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sutor Montegranaro made 23-of-27 charity shots (85.2 percent) during the game. 28 personal fouls committed by Trenkwalder RE helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American guard Josh Mayo (182-87, college: Ill.-Chicago, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who led his team to a victory with 25 points (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!). The former international guard Daniele Cinciarini (194-83) contributed with 20 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Sutor Montegranaro players scored in double figures. International point guard Andrea Cinciarini (193-86) answered with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and American guard James White (201-84, college: Cincinnati, agency: Three Eye Sports) added 17 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Trenkwalder RE. Trenkwalder RE's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Sutor Montegranaro's next round opponent will be Granarolo BO (#10) in Bologna and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
