Very important is a road loss of second ranked Pioneros (6-2) against fourth ranked Toros (7-2) on Sunday night. Visiting Pioneros were defeated by Toros in a tough game in Nuevo Laredo 80-86. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 25-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Terrence Shannon (203-79, college: Elgin CC, agency: Paris Global Sports) notched 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and American-Puerto Rican point guard Wilfredo Pagan (184-76) supported him with 20 points and 8 assists. Pioneros will play against Soles in Mexicali and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
