The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Osaka Evessa as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Osaka Evessa defeated 8th ranked Saitama Broncos at home 81-65. The hosts trailed by 14 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 16 points. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Toyama Grouses. Saitama Broncos lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with six games lost. They share the position with Sendai 89ers. Saitama Broncos will play next round against league's leader Akita Happinets trying to get back on the winning streak. Osaka Evessa will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Shiga L-Stars on the road.
