There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Azpeitia (0-3) was crushed at home by second ranked Palma (3-1) 95-69 on Sunday. The game without a history. Palma led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Palma outrebounded Azpeitia 46-21 including a 33-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. American point guard John DiBartolomeo (183-91, college: Rochester, agency: Duran International) fired 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Power forward Antonio Pantin (206-88, agency: Interperformances) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. DiBartolomeo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Palma players scored in double figures. Guard Lander Lasa (193-88) produced 17 points and guard Joseba Ibargutxi (190-82) added 9 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
