Takamatsu FA managed to win fourth quarter 24-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shimane Magic dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Takamatsu FA's 46. They outrebounded Takamatsu FA 38-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. Even 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) by power forward Paul Williams (208-83, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: I.D.S. Law) did not help to save the game for Takamatsu FA. Forward Andrais Thornton (203-85, college: NW Missouri St.) added 7 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Takamatsu FA's coach Kenzo Maeda tested twelve players and allowed the starting five to rest. Shimane Magic (1-7) left bottom position moving up to ninth place. Loser Takamatsu FA dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Oita H.Devils. Shimane Magic will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Takamatsu FA will play against Hamamatsu Phoenix (#5) in Mikawa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
