Regular Season Round 3: Macc.B.Yaakov - Elitzur Ramla 66-65

A very interesting game took place in Beer Yaakov. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of Elitzur Ramla (1-2) to Beer Yaakov (2-1) 66-65 on Tuesday evening. It looked good early as Elitzur Ramla took an 10-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Beer Yaakov had a 22-8 second period charge getting the lead and Elitzur Ramla was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 65-66. Beer Yaakov made 20-of-25 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Iftach Buchman (196-86) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Justin Baker (203-89, college: Utah Valley) accounted for 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Baker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Beer Yaakov's coach Yaron Aviv allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American guard Roburt Sallie (196-86, college: Memphis, agency: Blacktop Management) came up with 19 points and 5 rebounds and center Ben Altit (208-93, college: Bryant, agency: Avi Zilberman) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Elitzur Ramla in the defeat.
