The game in Komarno was also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers Handlova (4-3) played at the court of fifth ranked Rieker KN (4-3). Rieker KN managed to secure a 9-point victory 83-74 on Wednesday. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Handlova. The best player for the winners was Canadian guard Juevol Myles (185-89, college: S.Dakota) who scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Slovenian forward Sinisa Bilic (201-89) chipped in 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Serbian guard Vladimir Velickovic (178-89) produced 16 points and 5 assists and Montenegrin-Serbian center Milovan Savic (205-87) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rieker KN moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Handlova. Rieker KN will meet bottom-ranked Nova Ves (#9) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Handlova will play against Prievidza (#7) and hope to secure a win.
