Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Hapoel Eilat (4-2) defeated at home 8th ranked GreenTops Netanya (2-3) 86-74 on Thursday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 55-41 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The former international point guard Afik Nissim (186-81) fired 23 points and 7 assists for the winners. American Terrence Roderick (196-88, college: UAB, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Four Hapoel Eilat players scored in double figures. Hapoel Eilat's coach Oded Katash used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Rashaun Freeman (206-84, college: Massachusetts) produced a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Eyal Shulman (192-87) added 13 points and 8 assists respectively for lost side. Hapoel Eilat moved-up to second place, which they share with Maccabi T-A and Ironi Nes-Ziona. Loser GreenTops Netanya dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. They share it with Hapoel T-A. Hapoel Eilat will meet league's leader Maccabi Haifa on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. GreenTops Netanya will play against Maccabi Rishon (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
