There was a minor upset when higher ranked Lucca (2-3) was defeated at home by fourteenth ranked Firenze (2-3) 88-84 on Thursday. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 27-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Brandon Wood (187-89, college: Michigan St.) who scored 27 points and 7 rebounds. point guard Alexander Simoncelli (188-86) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Demetrius Conger (198-90, college: St.Bonaventure) produced 16 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import point guard Michael Deloach (183-86, college: Norfolk St.) added 17 points respectively for the hosts.
