Regular Season Round 5: FCM Ferentino - Aget Service IM 101-77

FCM Ferentino's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after four consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Aget Service IM (1-4) 101-77. It looked good early as Aget Service IM took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then FCM Ferentino had a 21-17 second period charge getting the lead and Aget Service IM was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 77-101. FCM Ferentino made 24-of-29 charity shots (82.8 percent) during the game, while Aget Service IM only scored eight points from the stripe. Aget Service IM was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American swingman Rodney Green (196-88, college: La Salle) stepped up and scored 31 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and guard Marco Giuri (194-88) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists. American guard Warren Niles (196-89, college: ORU) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and the former international forward Luigi Dordei (202-81) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Five FCM Ferentino and four Aget Service IM players scored in double figures. Aget Service IM's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. FCM Ferentino left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Aget Service IM. FCM Ferentino will play against league's second-placed Angelico Biella on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aget Service IM will play against PMS Torino (#5) to get more than just one victory in their record.
