The game with biggest result difference took place in Grindavik. Local Grindavik (3-1) outscored 7th ranked IR (1-3) 98-73. The game was mostly controlled by Grindavik. IR was better in second period 26-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by IR's players. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Grindavik have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains fourth position with 3-1 record, which they share with Haukar. IR lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with three games lost. They share the position with Snaefell. Grindavik will play against Snaefell (#9) in Stykkisholmur in the next round where they are favorite. IR's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Reykjavik Valur.
