Regular Season Round 1: Carleton - Windsor 95-74

Ravens used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Windsor, ON 95-74 on Friday night. The game was mostly controlled by Ravens. Lancers was better in third quarter 24-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 29-of-33 free shots (87.9 percent) during the game, while Lancers only scored eleven points from the stripe. Lancers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for the former international guard Philip Scrubb (190-92) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 5 assists (made all of his fifteen free throws !!!). Forward Thomas Scrubb (198-91) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Lien Phillip (203-89) answered with 20 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Enrico Diloreto (185-90) added 21 points in the effort for Lancers. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Ravens will face Mustangs (#7) in London, ON in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Lancers will play on the road against Gee-Gees (#3) in Ottawa, ON and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
