But Bisons were not able to use a home court advantage and were defeated by the opponent from Prince George, BC 77-71 on Friday night. Bisons were trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 28-20 charge of Timberwolves, which allowed them to win the game. Bisons were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for guard Charles Barton (193) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 rebounds. Jibreel Stevens contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Yigit Ozsayiner (198) answered with 19 points and 7 rebounds and forward Dan Penner (201) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Bisons. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Timberwolves will face Wesmen (#4) in Winnipeg, MB in the next round. Bisons will play at home against Mount Royal and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
