But Warriors were not able to use a home court advantage and were crushed by the opponent from Sudbury, ON 86-67 on Friday night. The game without a history. Voyageurs led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Voyageurs outrebounded Warriors 45-25 including a 36-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Quite impressive performance for guard Josh Budd (186) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 4 steals (made all of his ten free throws !!!). Alex Ratte contributed with 22 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Guard Gill Jaspreet (188-91) answered with 28 points and naturalized British swingman Mike Helsby (193-89) added 11 points in the effort for Warriors. Warriors' coach rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Voyageurs will face Golden Hawks in Waterloo, ON in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Warriors will play at home against Thunderbirds and hope to win that game.
