Regular Season Round 1: TRU - Saskatchewan 95-98

Date: November 1, 2013
And finally the game worth to mention about is Huskies' very close three-point victory over Wolfpack 98-95. Wolfpack was very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 37-27 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Huskies made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Huskies outrebounded Wolfpack 46-31 including 20 on the offensive glass. It was a very good performance for guard Ben Baker (191) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 rebounds and 9 assists. American guard Stephon Lamar (185, college: Pacific) contributed with 25 points and 4 assists for the winners. Five Huskies players scored in double figures. Huskies' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Ta-Quan Zimmerman (188, college: Monroe CC) answered with 33 points (!!!) (made all of his seven free throws) and center Josh Wolfram (208-92) added 22 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Wolfpack. Huskies will face Heat (#8) in Kelowna, BC in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Wolfpack will play at home against Golden Bears (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
