Regular Season Round 6: TuRi - Kerava 84-86

The most exciting game of round 6 in the SM-sarja took place in Turku. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 5th ranked TuRi (2-3) to eighth ranked Kerava Energia Team (2-4) 86-84 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 25-14 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Kerava Energia Team forced 27 TuRi turnovers. It was a good game for Italian-Ghanian point guard Rosetta Adzasu (165-90, college: Washington St.) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 15 rebounds and 9 assists. American forward Mollie Williams (187, college: Washington) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American guard La'Keisha Sutton (175-90, college: S.Carolina) replied with 21 points, 6 assists and 4 steals and guard Katleena Karkkainen (174-92) added 21 points in the effort for TuRi. Five TuRi players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Kerava Energia Team moved-up to sixth place, which they share with HoNsU. TuRi at the other side keeps the fifth position with three games lost. Kerava Energia Team will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. TuRi will play on the road against the league's leader Catz Lappeenranta (#1) and is hoping to win this game.
