Not a big story in a game when Mustangs (0-2) were outscored by Ravens (2-0) in Ottawa, ON 117-42 on Saturday. The game without a history. Ravens led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Mustangs to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Ravens dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Mustangs' 22 and made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Mustangs 27-13 including a 21-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ravens shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 57.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Mustangs' players. The former international guard Philip Scrubb (190-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points and 4 assists. Guard Clinton Springer-Williams (193) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Four Ravens players scored in double figures. Guard Eric McDonald (183) replied with 11 points and forward Greg Morrow (190) added 7 points in the effort for Mustangs. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
